Week 1 Overview

• In the past, we have offered this course for graduate credit. If you would like to dive a little deeper into any of the material as you progress through this course, you can look at the assignments and questions to challenge yourself and gain more knowledge! All of these assignments are optional. They are mentioned in each week's overview.

Watch the videos and post in all of the discussions. No additional written work is required. There will be a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

• There are quizzes which are just a way for you to test your own understanding. Everyone is encouraged to take them.

Objectives:

• Participate in building our learning community

• Begin to create your vocabulary and conceptualization for analyzing and discussing executive functions of the brain and metacognition

• Assess your own executive functioning skills

• Analyze an assessment of your students’ executive functioning skills
